First, please tap I’ve Arrived only upon reaching the pick-up location as indicated in the Grab Driver App. An automated message will be sent to the passenger to inform them you have arrived.
You can pick up passengers travelling with children if they have their own appropriate child restraint devices (eg mifold booster seat or RideSafer vest). Please note that there will be no surcharges if passengers using their own child restraint devices. Below are the different scenarios to take note of:
*Child restraint devices refer to child booster seats or child safety seats.

Passengers With Children Above 1.35m No booster seat or infant seat is required. The child is tall enough to ride in a normal car seat while using the seat belt. |

Booster seat is required. If the passenger is able to provide the appropriate child restraint device, you may pick up the passenger. Do not add any surcharge. For non-GrabFamily bookings: If you are part of our GrabFamily (Ages 4-7) fleet, please offer the mifold booster seat to the passenger and add a surcharge of $2 to the ride. Kindly inform the passenger of this surcharge in advance. For GrabFamily bookings: The charge for the first booster seat is already included in the fare. If you have a second mifold booster seat and it is required , please offer this and you can key an additional $2 to your passenger’s final fare as a surcharge. Kindly inform the passenger in advance of this surcharge in advance. * You must be part of the GrabFamily fleet to be eligible for surcharge. |

Child safety seat or child restraint device is required. If the passenger is able to provide the appropriate child restraint device (rear-facing child safety seat), you may pick up the passenger. Do not add any surcharge. Passengers With Children Below 1 Year Old: Passengers must have an appropriate child restraint device (rear-facing child seat) for their infant. Passengers With Children Between 1-3 Years Old: Please use the IMMI GO seat if you part of our GrabFamily (Ages 1-3) fleet. Otherwise, please ensure passengers have their own child safety seat. For non-GrabFamily bookings: A $5 surcharge can be charged. |
If you can’t complete the ride due to lack of appropriate child restraint or booster seat, please cancel the trip and indicate Passenger is with a child as the reason. Your cancellation rating will not be affected.
This cancellation feature is NOT available for taxi drivers as taxis are exempted from the child restraint requirement.
Please be reminded that these reasons do not affect your cancellation rate. Cancellation quotas will refresh based on the number of rides you have completed:
1. Passenger no show
2. Passenger is with a child
3.Passenger is with a pet
4.Too many passengers or luggage
5.Can’t pick up at location
1. The dynamic cancellation quota is only applicable for Grab transport rides (GrabCar, GrabTaxi etc). GrabFood, GrabExpress and GrabMart jobs are excluded from this quota.
2. You can regain +1 for every 30 transport rides completed (GrabFood, GrabExpress and GrabMart jobs do not count).
