The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has updated guidelines regarding the use and installation of in-vehicle recording devices (IVRDs) for public service vehicles.
You must comply with LTA’s guidelines to install and use any inward-facing IVRD (audio and/or video). Unauthorised installation of inward-facing IVRD may result in 21 demerit points and suspension from the platform. If you have any unauthorised device, please switch off the interior recording or remove the device.
Please visit LTA’s website for the full guidelines, detailed installation locations, and procedures.
To apply for the installation of IVRD:
- Complete this application form and submit it to LTA_P2P_Application@lta.gov.sg
- After approval from LTA, contact an LTA-authorised installation centre to make an appointment for installation.
- Upon installation, the authorised installation centre will provide you with a decal. The decal must be displayed to notify passengers.
Once you have completed the process above, please inform Grab within 24 hours by submitting the form below with your LTA's approval letter and decal (provided by the installation centre). We will send you a confirmation email after verifying the information.
Your passengers will receive an in-app notification that your vehicle has an authorised IVRD.
