Keep your communication lines open
Since you may still communicate with your previous passengers within 4 hours after completing the trip, you may receive calls from previous passengers about items left in your vehicle. Don't worry, your phone number will be masked to protect your privacy.
I received an in-app notification about a lost item
If your passenger reports a lost item in your car, you may receive an in-app notification. Make sure your vehicle is stationary or parked safely before you proceed. Tap OK to start a simple guided process on the lost and found.
Discuss with the passenger how to return their items
Here’s how you can return your passenger’s items. Remember, it's crucial to agree with the passenger on the method, location, and timing.
- Drop off the item at the Grab Driver Centre.
- Arrange a time and place to meet and return the item to the passenger. If this is the preferred option, we recommend that you check the fare on the Grab app (or metered fare for taxis) from your current location to the passenger and ask to be compensated accordingly for taking the time and effort to directly return the item.
In the meantime, keep the item in a safe place.
If a passenger doesn't contact you about an item left in your vehicle, please let us know.
