What is Driver Choices?

A feature, that allows you to select areas, that you would like to avoid and gives you greater customization of how you can plan your day and earnings.

You will be able to set up to 1 location/area from being allocated and there will not be a limit to the number of times you can use the feature. Also, you may change or remove a location at any time.

Here's how you can set a location to avoid:

Step 1: Go to 'More'in your Grab app
Step 2: Tap on 'Setting' and choose "Location to avoid"
Step 3: Add the preferred location that you would like to avoid
Step 4: You'll then see a shaded region in the Grab app (map)

FAQs:

Can I set a specific building or pickup I want to avoid?

You can only avoid areas and not specific points. You may access the coverage of the areas when you select it within the app. List of areas:

Will this feature be available throughout the day?

Yes, this feature will be available throughout the day as it is meant for you to design your own preferences.

Will using this feature affect my incentives?Will ride bookings given to me when using thisfeaturebe considered towards my incentives?

Your incentives will not be affected. These trips will count as incentives.

What if I drive for more than one service?

The locations to avoid will apply for all services that you are registered for.

I am a GrabTaxi driver - will I be able to enjoy this feature?

This feature is not available for Grabtaxi drivers

Does this feature affect “pickup” or “drop off” locations to avoid?

The location to avoid covers both pickup and drop-off locations.

If I am inside the location that I have selected to avoid, will I still receive bookings?

Yes, you can still receive bookings outside of the location to avoid this.

What happens if the passenger changes destination mid-trip into a location I want to avoid?

The passenger will not be allowed to change their destination. An error message will appear.

Are my “locations to avoid” applicable to multi-stop trips?

Yes, your locations to avoid preferences are applicable to multi-stop bookings. You will not be allocated trips with stops in areas you have chosen to avoid.
