In the scenario where you cannot locate the right address, or if the consumer is not at the location, you MUST call the consumer and chat with them through your Grab Driver App.
If the consumer remains uncontactable after at least 3 calls and does not respond to your chat, and you have waited for at least 10 minutes after the chat/call attempt, here's what to do:
- Verify the location stated within the Grab app to ensure you're in the right location.
- Call or send a GrabChat to your customer. Make a few other attempts if you receive no replies, and screenshot your attempted calls and messages as proof of contact.
- If you cannot contact your customer after 10 minutes, you may leave the order at the door or in a safe place and send them a photo of the order.
- Remember to take photos of the order you dropped off in case of a dispute. A good tip is to take a few photos, including the unit number of the address and the surrounding area.
- Mark the delivery as 'Completed'.
If the consumer is contactable but unavailable to collect the order, please seek their permission to leave the food at the safe place/location via call/chat.
